BREAKING: Arsenal’s Mass Exodus Begins!
Confirmed List of Arsenal’s Summer Transfers as Arteta Approves Player Exit
football.london provides an updated list of player transfers at the Emirates Stadium, as Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar focus on strengthening Arsenal’s squad this summer.
Sambi Lokonga
Albert Sambi Lokonga, who spent last season on loan at Luton Town, has been loaned to Sevilla for the upcoming season. This deal includes an option to buy, reportedly valued at around £10 million, along with a potential sell-on clause if the transfer becomes permanent.
Lokonga is the first player to leave Arsenal this summer. Meanwhile, David Raya has been signed on a permanent basis after his loan spell last season. The focus now shifts to bringing in additional reinforcements for Arteta’s team.
Securing a striker remains a top priority for Arteta and sporting director Edu Gaspar, who are also in the market for a new midfielder. Despite these goals, Arsenal has not made significant strides in trimming the squad and revamping Arteta’s options.
With the core first-team largely intact, a number of peripheral players are expected to depart. So far, departures include those whose contracts have ended, such as Lokonga and Nuno Tavares, who confirmed his loan move to Lazio earlier this week. Additionally, Amario Cozier-Duberry and Reuell Walters have left after their contracts expired.
At this stage, David Raya is the sole new arrival, indicating that much work remains before the transfer window closes at the end of August. Arsenal aims to finalize both incoming and outgoing transfers before pre-season starts later this month.
