BOMBSHELL: Chelsea Make Shocking Abraham Transfer Decision After Solanke Agreement!
Chelsea have already made Abraham transfer decision after Solanke agreement
Latest Chelsea transfer news with the Blues loosely involved in Bournemouth’s pursuit to replace Dominic Solanke amid his impending move to Tottenham
Chelsea look to have made yet another striker transfer decision alongside talks for Victor Osimhen and agreeing a deal to sign Samu Omorodion. The Blues bringing in a new attacker appeared very likely in the lead up to the 2024/25 campaign to help ease the burden for Nicolas Jackson.
Loan departures for Romelu Lukaku and Armando Broja, alongside plaguing injury issues for Christopher Nkunku, often left Jackson as the only natural option to be selected last season. As such, links to the likes of Jhon Duran, Jonathan David and Omorodion emerged with the Blues having now settled on signing the latter.
Having agreed to sell Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid, the Spanish club were open to selling Omorodion with Chelsea agreeing a £35million deal. Julian Alvarez’s big-money transfer to Atletico from Manchester City also likely softened their stance having previously quoted Chelsea £70million to sign him earlier in the window.
The 20-year-old has been representing Spain at the Paris Olympics but has been able to complete a medical for his new club in the French capital. Alongside their pursuit of Omorodion, negotiations over a potential loan deal for Osimhen from Napoli continued with Lukaku heading in the opposite direction.
Plenty of other clubs are also pushing for new strikers with London rivals Tottenham starting talks with Bournemouth to sign Dominic Solanke earlier this month. Though his £65million release clause appeared a stumbling block, Spurs have now agreed a deal to sign the 26-year-old with the Cherries to receive a club-record £65million fee.
£30million of that will be heading immediately to Bournemouth with the remainder as achievable add-ons. His exit looks set to cause a domino effect with Andoni Iraola keen to sign a replacement and former Chelsea target Tammy Abraham looks set to emerge as an option, as per the Mirror’s Ryan Taylor.
