BREAKING NEWS FOR MAN UNITED FANS!

Erik ten Hag has provided an optimistic update on Leny Yoro’s recovery, indicating that the young center-back is making significant progress after suffering an injury during pre-season.

Yoro, who fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during a pre-season match against Arsenal, underwent surgery in early August. Initially, it was expected he would be out for around three months. However, the 18-year-old has recently returned to United’s training ground, Carrington, and is no longer reliant on crutches. Ten Hag shared a positive outlook on his recovery.

“He’s progressing very well,” Ten Hag commented. “It’s great to see his rehabilitation going according to plan, and while I say ‘soon,’ he is on track to rejoin us in training shortly.”

The Dutch manager went on to add that Yoro is “in the right place” in terms of recovery and will be integrated back into the squad and team sessions as soon as he’s ready.

Yoro was Ten Hag’s first summer signing, arriving from Lille for £52 million, beating competition from Real Madrid. He made his debut against Rangers in July but was injured in the first half of the pre-season tour opener in the U.S. In his absence, Lisandro Martinez and new signing Matthijs de Ligt have formed a strong partnership in central defense.

Yoro could potentially make a comeback by November, while fellow defenders Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, and Victor Lindelof are also nearing their returns to action.
