SHOCKING REVELATION! Bruno Fernandes SLAMS REFEREE after Manchester United’s CRUSHING defeat to Tottenham!

Bruno Fernandes has expressed frustration over the decision to send him off during Manchester United’s loss to Tottenham, revealing that even James Maddison, the opposing player involved in the incident, agreed the red card was unwarranted.

Manchester United entered the match seeking to bounce back after a midweek draw against FC Twente, but Tottenham took control early with Brennan Johnson scoring just three minutes in. The situation worsened for United when Fernandes was sent off just before halftime, leaving the team further disadvantaged.

Tottenham capitalized on their advantage, with Dejan Kulusevski making it 2-0 shortly after the break, and Dominic Solanke adding a third from a corner in the 77th minute, sealing a 3-0 victory for Spurs. Manchester United, overwhelmed by Tottenham’s dominance, saw many of their fans leave the stadium early, as manager Erik ten Hag faced growing pressure after a disappointing start to the season.

Following the match, Fernandes addressed the incident in an interview with Sky Sports, admitting his red card negatively impacted the team. “I let my teammates down,” he said. “It was already a tough game, and going down to 10 men made it even harder. We didn’t start well, and after the red card, things got worse, but I have to praise the team’s resilience.”

Fernandes voiced his disagreement with the referee’s decision, explaining, “I went for the ball, and yes, it was a foul, but not a red card. Even Maddison said it shouldn’t have been a sending-off. If this is considered a red, then there are many other incidents that need to be reviewed, like the challenges on Onana, but they never lead to a red card so quickly.”

He also questioned why VAR didn’t intervene, stating, “The contact wasn’t strong enough for a red. A yellow, maybe, because it was during a counter-attack, but VAR should have asked the referee to review it.”

Reflecting on United’s performance, Fernandes admitted his mistake led to the opening goal but emphasized the team’s effort: “We found space but didn’t link up well before the red card. The first goal was a result of a poor pass from me, and we paid the price.”
