According to *The Times*, the 19-year-old had to withdraw from England’s U21 squad, which was set to play Greece and Finland in the Nations League, after sustaining the injury. Mainoo suffered the hamstring problem during United’s goalless match against Aston Villa just before the international break. His impressive performances have made him a key figure in Erik ten Hag’s team this season.
Speaking about the injury situation, Erik ten Hag acknowledged the impact injuries have on the team’s performance. “Injuries certainly don’t help; we need players fit and available to perform,” said Ten Hag. “Kobbie and Harry will be out for a few weeks, but Mazraoui is back in training and will be available tomorrow.”
