SHOCKING PREMIER LEAGUE DRAMA! You won’t believe what happened during the Manchester United vs Ipswich match this weekend!

The Premier League’s return this weekend after the final international break of 2024 was marked by an unexpected VAR incident during the Manchester United vs Ipswich Town match.

Manchester United earned a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town on Sunday evening in Ruben Amorim’s debut game as manager. Marcus Rashford put United ahead early, but Omari Hutchinson leveled the score with a stunning goal before halftime.

While there were no significant VAR controversies during the match, the Premier League had to issue a statement before the break explaining that VAR was temporarily unavailable due to a fire alarm at Stockley Park. Referee Anthony Taylor informed the two team captains of the situation, and it was later confirmed on social media that VAR would not be operational for the rest of the first half.

Fortunately, the game proceeded without any incidents requiring VAR’s intervention, and United’s early lead was maintained until halftime. As the second half began, the Premier League announced that VAR had been restored, and the remainder of the match was played with the technology in use. However, neither team managed to secure a winning goal.

Following the draw, Manchester United remain in 12th place in the league, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool. They are also seven points adrift of Manchester City and six behind Arsenal. Amorim will be hoping to secure his first victory as manager when United face FK Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League midweek, followed by a Premier League fixture against Everton at Old Trafford next weekend.
