“We’re Going to Get It” – Mikel Arteta Sends Stern Warning to Man City
‘We’re Going to Achieve It’ – Mikel Arteta Issues Firm Warning to Man City
After finishing second to Manchester City once more, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed confidence that his team will eventually break City’s dominance in the Premier League.
On the season’s final day, Arsenal needed a victory against Everton and hoped for a Manchester City slip-up against West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium. However, City’s win was sealed early by Phil Foden’s two goals.
Although Mohammed Kudus scored for Arsenal, Rodri’s goal just before the 60th minute ensured a fourth straight Premier League title for Manchester City. Following the match at the Emirates Stadium, a visibly frustrated Arteta, who previously worked under Pep Guardiola at City, urged Arsenal fans to maintain their support.
“This journey is happening because you started to believe,” Arteta addressed the supporters. “You began to be patient and understood our vision. Keep motivating this team. Don’t settle. We desire this, and we will achieve it.”
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard echoed his manager’s sentiments, rallying the team and fans for the upcoming season. “We’re feeling a bit disappointed right now, as we’ve been battling for a long time,” the Norwegian remarked.
“I’m immensely proud of the players, the club, and the fans. We’ve transformed the club, and now you all believe in us.
“I believe we’re on the right path. We fought until the very end.
“We’re eager and determined to win everything.”
With the Premier League title secured, Manchester City’s attention now shifts to the FA Cup final, where they will face their fierce rivals Manchester United at Wembley Stadium next weekend.
