BREAKING: Chelsea Closing in on £25M Striker Deal!

Leicester are leading the race to sign a £25m rapid striker. Chelsea faces competition from West Ham United and Leicester City to secure the transfer of Lens striker Elye Wahi.

Reports from CaughtOffside reveal that Wahi has recently caught Chelsea’s attention as an alternative to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Interest in the talented young Frenchman is also growing among other clubs.

L’Equipe indicates that Wahi might have the opportunity to move to the Premier League with West Ham or Leicester. The 21-year-old striker could be available for transfer by Lens, just a year after he joined them.

Wahi showed great promise at his former club Montpellier, but his performance has declined at Lens. Therefore, it might be logical for the club to sell him if they receive a suitable offer.

The report notes that the asking price for Wahi is still unclear, but Get French Football News mentions he was acquired for €30m last summer.

This suggests that Wahi won’t be inexpensive for West Ham or Leicester. However, if he can regain his form, he would likely be a worthwhile investment.

Acquiring Wahi could be a wise decision for either the Hammers or the Foxes. Leicester, in particular, needs a new striker urgently after their promotion to the Premier League and the subsequent departure of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Without a replacement for Iheanacho, the Foxes might struggle to remain in the top flight. Wahi could be the perfect candidate to fill the Nigerian’s role in their attack.
