BREAKING: Chelsea’s Secret Plan to Replace Alexander Isak Revealed!

Chelsea Identify Potential Backup for Alexander Isak After £115m Enquiry

Chelsea’s search for a new striker this summer has led them to make multiple inquiries, including one for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

Chelsea’s list of striker targets is extensive, with the club already approaching several teams. The inquiry about Isak is the latest and could be the priciest, as Newcastle would likely demand a record-breaking fee for the Swedish international.

In addition to Isak, Chelsea has engaged in talks with Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa, Hoffenheim, and Lille regarding Samu Omorodion, Jhon Duran, Maximilian Beier, and Jonathan David. The list of potential centre-forwards doesn’t end there, as Chelsea’s interest spans even further.

According to the Daily Mail, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is another name on Chelsea’s radar. Everton has offered the former England international a new contract, but he has yet to accept it. If no agreement is reached, Calvert-Lewin will become a free agent next summer.

Thus, the 27-year-old striker might be available for a reduced fee if Everton decides to sell him this summer instead of losing him for free next year. Chelsea has reportedly been keeping an eye on the situation since earlier this month. Interestingly, Newcastle was also linked with Calvert-Lewin last week.

However, negotiations appear to have stalled, with Everton demanding £40 million. This price tag seems too high for Newcastle and could also deter Chelsea if they formalize their interest in Calvert-Lewin.

Yet, the upcoming Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules could affect this situation. Everton, having breached these rules for the past two seasons, might lower their asking price for Calvert-Lewin to secure a substantial profit on the £1.5 million they paid Sheffield United for him.
