BREAKING: Ivan Toney’s Shocking Chelsea Admission!

Ivan Toney expressed his excitement about the possibility of joining Chelsea, saying, “Although I hadn’t expected to end up at Stamford Bridge, I’m thrilled to have this amazing opportunity. Chelsea has always been my favorite club, and I’m ready to do whatever it takes to help them win a trophy as I prepare to join the team soon.”

Chelsea’s stance on the potential transfer of Ivan Toney has come to light following reports of a £50 million deal with Brentford.

Reports indicate that Chelsea made a last-minute attempt to sign Toney, who is close to a £50 million transfer to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League this summer.

According to The Times, Brentford is hopeful about completing the sale of the in-demand England forward, with personal terms already agreed upon.

Despite rejecting Al-Ahli’s £35 million bid for Toney, Brentford is still weighing their options.

The Sun has reported Chelsea’s interest in the striker, who played in Euro 2024 this summer and has just one year left on his contract, leading Brentford to consider a new offer.

Chelsea recently finalized a £46 million deal for Joao Felix, which enabled them to sell Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid. However, the club is still exploring the possibility of acquiring a central striker, with Toney being a key target this summer.

Toney was notably absent from Brentford’s squad for their opening match, as speculation about his future continues to grow with the transfer deadline on August 30 approaching.

Toney’s Premier League record boasts 36 goals and 11 assists in 85 appearances, along with six caps for England.

Before Brentford’s first game of the season, manager Thomas Frank acknowledged that Toney’s potential departure is a real possibility.

He commented, “There’s a lot going on with Ivan, and there’s some transfer interest. That’s why we decided not to include him in the squad. Whether he’s played his last game remains uncertain, but there is interest, although nothing is imminent.”
