BREAKING NEWS: Ten Hag Drops BOMBSHELL After Dramatic Win!

Erik ten Hag has revealed that Manchester United’s main goal for the current season is to secure another trophy.

During his first year as manager, Ten Hag led the team to victory in the Carabao Cup, and despite a challenging Premier League campaign last season, he also delivered an FA Cup win. United finished eighth in the league with a negative goal difference, but the FA Cup triumph, particularly against Manchester City in the final, was crucial in keeping him in the job.

As the 2023/24 season neared its end, there was significant pressure on Ten Hag due to poor league results. United had even considered potential replacements in the lead-up to the FA Cup final. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a key supporter of the club, backed Ten Hag to continue, especially after securing another trophy. The Dutch manager has now set his sights on winning more silverware this season.

Speaking on Sunday evening, Ten Hag expressed his appreciation for the Football Writers’ Association event, saying he was happy to be among fellow managers who were recognized for their successes. He emphasized the importance of always proving oneself in football, noting that past achievements don’t count for much if you fail to deliver in the present.

He stated that the team’s objective remains clear: to win another trophy. Although the season has just begun, Ten Hag stressed that the team must meet the high expectations placed on them by aiming to win every game. He added that success boosts morale, but the focus quickly shifts to the next challenge after each win.

After the international break, United secured a 2-1 victory over Brentford, climbing to 11th in the Premier League table, six points behind the top four. With the team failing to qualify for the Champions League last season, there is added pressure to finish in the top four this year. United is also considered one of the frontrunners for the Europa League title, which would provide a pathway to Champions League qualification next season.
