Chelsea Fans, Are We Losing Out on MUSIALA?!
Chelsea Receive New Jamal Musiala Transfer Update Amid Confirmed Talks
A fresh update from Bayern Munich has emerged regarding the contract negotiations of Jamal Musiala, a player Chelsea has been rumored to target.
Max Eberl, Bayern Munich’s sporting director, recently expressed optimism about the club’s discussions with Musiala, who has also been linked with Arsenal. Chelsea were previously rumored to be monitoring the situation, anticipating that the young star might delay signing a new deal before his current contract expires in 2026. Alongside Arsenal, clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool, and Real Madrid have also been linked to Musiala, according to The Express.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has made 171 senior appearances for Bayern, scoring 46 goals and providing 34 assists, making him an attractive prospect. However, the recent developments seem to hinder Chelsea’s hopes of acquiring him, as Bayern’s confidence in securing a new deal grows.
During a press conference, Eberl commented on the ongoing negotiations, saying: “It’s not just one meeting; we are in continuous talks. I’m confident. There’s progress, and Jamal sees that. He’s an exceptional player, and we want him to be a key figure at Bayern alongside players like Joshua Kimmich. We’ve communicated this to him, and now we’re working toward an agreement. I’m optimistic, and I see no reason why he would leave Bayern.”
These remarks align with those of Bayern’s CEO Herbert Hainer, who previously stated his hopes for Musiala to follow in the footsteps of club legend Thomas Müller, potentially staying at the club for the next 20 years.
“I truly value Jamal and how much he has developed in recent years,” Hainer said, adding that many consider him a future world’s best player. “Jamal appreciates what he has at Bayern, and we’re committed to keeping him here for the long term.”
The delay in finalizing the contract, however, stems from the complexities involved in ensuring Musiala’s role within the club. Christian Falk noted that if Bayern wishes to make Musiala their future talisman, his salary and prominence in the team must reflect his importance, particularly in his preferred No. 10 position.
