CHELSEA SHOCKER! Trevoh Chalobah’s cryptic message reveals the TRUTH behind his axing!
Trevoh Chalobah Responds Cryptically to Omission from Chelsea’s Pre-Season Tour Squad
Trevoh Chalobah has spoken out after being unexpectedly left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour squad.
Chalobah, a notable Chelsea academy product, has become a fixture in the first team, with 80 appearances since 2021.
Despite securing a spot in the starting lineup towards the end of last season, new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has not included the centre-back in his plans moving forward.
After participating in Maresca’s training sessions earlier this month, Chalobah was informed this week that he would not be joining the squad for their pre-season tour in the United States, causing discontent among fans.
According to The Athletic, the 25-year-old is now ranked behind Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, and newcomer Tosin Adarabioyo for the right-sided centre-back position.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea is open to selling Chalobah, who has previously declined multiple offers to leave in the past 18 months.
Both Nottingham Forest and Tottenham showed interest in signing the defender last summer, but Chalobah chose to remain at Stamford Bridge.
In response to the unexpected exclusion, Chalobah posted a cryptic message on Instagram in the form of a prayer.
“A prayer for the new week: Dear God, thank you for opening my eyes to see another week. I’m so grateful for another precious moment that you’ve given me,” Chalobah shared on his Instagram story.
“As I step into this new week, give me strength when I feel tired, perseverance when I feel discouraged, and comfort when I lose hope. Help me to focus on you and not on any problems that I face.
“When my back is against the wall, I will lift my head and remember that you’ve never lost a battle. Thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. – Numbers 6:24-25.”
Chalobah is under contract until June 2028, suggesting that Chelsea could secure a substantial fee if he acknowledges he is no longer needed.
