CHELSEA’S £15.6M MASTERSTROKE: Meet the 19-Year-Old Wonderkid Set to Revolutionize Stamford Bridge!

Chelsea have confirmed the acquisition of defender Aaron Anselmino, marking their ninth signing of the summer. The 19-year-old has committed to a seven-year contract with the club but will spend the 2024/25 season on loan at Boca Juniors.

Anselmino’s transfer to Chelsea had been anticipated for several months, though negotiations were prolonged by Boca Juniors’ request to retain him on loan. The deal was finalized on Thursday, with Chelsea announcing that Anselmino will continue playing for Boca for the remainder of the 2024 season and part of the 2025 season to further his development.

Additionally, Chelsea have secured the signing of 17-year-old Estevao Willian, although he will not join the team until 2025 when he turns 18.

Boca Juniors are currently nine games into their league season, sitting 13th in the standings with three wins, four draws, and two losses. Anselmino has made one league appearance this season, coming off the bench in a 1-0 victory over Velez Sarsfield in June. He has also participated in four cup matches.

Anselmino joins a growing list of young South American talents signed by Chelsea, including Kendry Paez, Deivid Washington, Andrey Santos, Angelo, and Diego Moreira.
