Man Utd Fans Are Furious! Player Slated with 1/10 Rating in SHOCKING Defeat to Newcastle
Manchester United slumped to their ninth Premier League defeat of the season as Newcastle secured a fifth win in six league games against Ruben Amorim’s struggling side.
United crumbled early, conceding headers from Alexander Isak and Joelinton within the first 20 minutes. Sandro Tonali had an opportunity to make it 3-0 but struck the post instead.
A tactical change in the 33rd minute saw Joshua Zirkzee replaced by Kobbie Mainoo, after which United began creating chances but failed to find the back of the net for the third consecutive game. Harry Maguire came closest with a second-half header that hit the post.
Here’s how the players performed:
Andre Onana
Failed to deal with two crosses in the opening 20 minutes. Managed to punch away a corner later. Rating: 5
Matthijs de Ligt
Despite his reputation being boosted by not playing in recent losses, his return offered no improvement. Rating: 4
Harry Maguire
Lost track of Alexander Isak, leading to Newcastle’s opening goal. Rating: 4
Lisandro Martinez
Struggled against Joelinton, leading to the second goal. Provided a decent pass to Rasmus Hojlund but lacked leadership while captaining. Rating: 4
Noussair Mazraoui
Both first-half goals originated from his side. His role as a winger in this system seems ill-suited. Rating: 4

Christian Eriksen
Overwhelmed by Newcastle’s physical style of play. Appears to be nearing the end of his time at the club. Rating: 4
Diogo Dalot
Put in a few early tackles and dealt reasonably well with Jacob Murphy. Struggled against Newcastle’s left-side attack. Rating: 5
Joshua Zirkzee
A disappointing display marked by lethargy. Substituted in the 33rd minute to cheers from the crowd, highlighting the discontent. Rating: 1
Amad
Showed some promising moments early on but couldn’t effectively drive the team forward. Rating: 5
Rasmus Hojlund
Overpowered by Fabian Schar and missed a decent chance. Struggled to justify his price tag. Rating: 3

Leaving Mainoo out of the starting lineup proved costly. His decision to field aging midfielders and ineffective attackers left United exposed. Adjustments came too late to salvage the game. Rating: 4
