PEP GUARDIOLA PLOTTING A STUNNING MOVE TO STEAL PSG STAR!

Manchester City are reportedly setting their sights on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder Joao Neves as a key summer acquisition, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net. Manager Pep Guardiola is eager to bolster his squad ahead of the upcoming season and has already begun identifying potential targets.
Neves, known for his tactical awareness, adaptability, and composure under pressure, has attracted interest from several top European clubs, with City among the frontrunners. Guardiola views the Portuguese midfielder as a crucial addition, particularly as the club seeks reinforcements following the expected departure of key players like Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan. The 20-year-old is seen as a valuable asset who can provide much-needed balance to the midfield, especially in the absence of 2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodri.
Having moved to PSG from Benfica in the summer of 2024 for a reported €60 million fee, Neves has already made an impact, featuring in 36 matches across all competitions. The versatile youngster has contributed four goals and nine assists while also occasionally filling in as a full-back under Luis Enrique.
However, securing Neves’ signature won’t be an easy feat for the Premier League champions. PSG are determined to hold onto their prized midfielder unless they receive a significant offer that meets their valuation.
Guardiola Acknowledges City Must Improve to Secure Champions League Spot
Following a frustrating 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, March 8, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admitted that his team must find consistency if they are to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Playing at the City Ground, Callum Hudson-Odoi’s 83rd-minute strike handed City their ninth league defeat of the campaign—their highest tally since the 2019-20 season. Reflecting on the disappointing result, Guardiola emphasized the urgency of returning to winning ways.
Speaking to the media (via The National), he stated:
> “We have to win matches. We’re not stringing together enough victories to feel secure. With 10 games left, we need to pick up a lot of points to qualify. That’s the reality. We must improve our performances—success doesn’t just happen, we have to work for it.”
Looking ahead, he added:
> “It starts with Brighton next Saturday, then we’ll reassess after the international break.”
Currently sitting fourth in the Premier League table with 47 points from 28 matches, Manchester City will aim to bounce back when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion on March 15.
