SHOCKER! Manchester United Eyeing a BLOCKBUSTER Double Deal That Could Shake the Football World!
Manchester United Eyeing Shock Move for Premier League Veteran and Bundesliga Star: Reports
Manchester United are reportedly considering a surprising bid for Tottenham Hotspur’s captain, Son Heung-min. The South Korean forward, who has been a standout performer in the Premier League for nearly a decade, is nearing the expiration of his contract with Spurs, set to end next summer.
Son, 32, has been a consistent force for Tottenham under multiple managers. Despite signing a four-year deal in 2021, he has yet to commit to a contract extension with the North London club.
According to GiveMeSport, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim admires Son’s abilities and is keen on bringing him to Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window. Amorim reportedly sees Son as a perfect fit for one of the two attacking midfield roles in his preferred 3-4-2-1 system.
Having joined Tottenham in 2015, Son has yet to win any major trophies, a factor that might influence his decision. The opportunity to join Manchester United—a team that has clinched both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup in recent seasons—could be appealing.
However, convincing Son to leave Spurs won’t be easy. The forward, who became the club’s captain in 2023, has made 422 appearances for Tottenham, scoring 166 goals and providing 88 assists.
United Also Targeting Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies
In addition to Son, Manchester United are reportedly setting their sights on Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies. The Canadian left-back, whose contract at the Allianz Arena is approaching its end, could be available on a free transfer next summer.
TEAMTalk reports that Davies is also being pursued by Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, but United are determined to compete for the 24-year-old’s signature. Manager Ruben Amorim sees Davies as an ideal addition to bolster the squad, especially with Luke Shaw sidelined due to injury.
With Davies eligible to negotiate pre-contract agreements starting January 1, Manchester United will face stiff competition. While the Canadian defender could extend his stay at Bayern, the Red Devils are preparing a strong case to lure him to Old Trafford.
