Tyrell Malacia, a full-back for Manchester United, was reportedly hospitalized following a car accident earlier this month. The incident involved a Range Rover, owned by his teammate Marcus Rashford, who was driving in a separate vehicle at the time.

The Range Rover, driven by a friend of Rashford with Malacia as a passenger, collided with a black Mercedes C220 AMG sport on July 16. The driver of the Mercedes, a woman, was detained by police at the scene and subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was taken to Macclesfield Hospital for a medical examination, according to The Sun.

While Rashford is currently in Los Angeles for a pre-season tour with Manchester United, Malacia is in the UK, continuing his recovery after missing all of last season due to injury.

Rashford recently played in a pre-season friendly against Rosenborg but missed the match against Rangers in Scotland due to a minor injury. Despite scoring fewer than ten goals last season, Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, and the new coach, Ruud van Nistelrooy, are hopeful that Rashford will regain his top form in the 2024/25 season.

Ten Hag expressed confidence in Van Nistelrooy’s impact on Rashford, stating: “Ruud’s presence is clear; he can help the strikers beyond just goal-scoring. Rashford has already proven his capability at a young age, and I fully believe he can return to his best.”
