SHOCKING NEWS FROM OLD TRAFFORD!

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has shed light on the seriousness of Lisandro Martínez’s recent injury.

During Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on February 2, 2025, the Red Devils suffered a 2-0 defeat, with both goals netted by Jean-Philippe Mateta.

The match took a further unfortunate turn when center-back Lisandro Martínez sustained a significant knee injury in the second half. The Argentine defender had to be stretchered off the field, raising concerns among teammates and fans alike.

After the game, Bruno Fernandes spoke about Martínez’s condition, expressing his concern. “Lisandro is a true fighter, and seeing him go down like that was tough for everyone. We’re still waiting for the full diagnosis, but it doesn’t look good. We’re hoping for the best,” said the United skipper.

Fernandes also highlighted the emotional and tactical impact of losing Martínez, stating, “He’s been a key figure in our defense. His absence will be felt, but as a team, we have to stay strong and rally behind him.”

Martínez’s injury compounds Manchester United’s defensive woes amid an already challenging season. With this defeat, the team has now suffered 11 losses in the league, breaking a four-game unbeaten streak.

Manager Ruben Amorim acknowledged the team’s struggles, particularly in defense. “Injuries are part of football, but we must address our weaknesses and adapt. Losing Lisandro is a setback, but we have to find solutions,” he commented.

The club has yet to issue an official statement regarding the severity of Martínez’s injury or his expected recovery period. Medical evaluations in the coming days will provide further clarity on his condition.
