SHOCKING NEWS: Manchester United CONFIRM Antony’s EXIT!

Antony Departs Manchester United for Real Betis on Loan

Antony, seen in action for Manchester United, has secured a loan move to Real Betis, where he will remain until the season concludes.

The Spanish club announced the temporary acquisition of the Brazilian winger, with the deal finalized after Antony traveled to Spain on Friday. He completed his medical and finalized terms following an agreement between Betis and United. The loan arrangement does not include an option for Betis to make the move permanent.

Antony joined Manchester United in September 2022 for a staggering £86.3 million after pushing for a transfer from Ajax, where he played under former United boss Erik ten Hag. The winger made an immediate impact, scoring in his debut—a 3-1 win against Arsenal—but his overall contributions have since been underwhelming.

Across 96 appearances for United, Antony has managed only 12 goals, including just one this season—a penalty in a 7-0 Carabao Cup win over Barnsley. This term, he has appeared 14 times, starting only three matches and not featuring in the Premier League starting lineup since a 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace in May. He has participated in just eight of United’s 22 league games so far.

Real Betis will reportedly shoulder a significant portion of Antony’s wages during his loan spell. He becomes the sixth Manchester United player to leave on loan this month, joining Ethan Ennis, Ethan Williams, Joe Hugill, Ethan Wheatley, and Jack Kingdon.
