SHOCKING UPDATE! Chelsea has dropped a BOMBSHELL decision following Wesley Fofana’s devastating injury!

Chelsea have already put their strategy into action to address the absence of Wesley Fofana, who may miss the remainder of the 2024/25 season due to a significant injury. Manager Enzo Maresca, who has enjoyed relatively good fortune with injuries since taking charge, now faces a major setback.

“There’s a possibility he [Fofana] could be out for the season or part of it. I’ve often said how much I admire Wes, but right now, no decision has been made regarding surgery,” Maresca commented.

In response, Chelsea confirmed on Friday morning that Aaron Anselmino has returned from his loan spell at Boca Juniors. He joins Ronnie Stutter and Gabriel Slonina, who have also been recalled from temporary stints at Burton Albion and Barnsley. However, unlike Stutter and Slonina—who are likely to either return to the youth setup, go back on loan, or move on permanently—Anselmino is set for a different trajectory.

According to footballlondon, the 19-year-old defender will be integrated into Maresca’s first-team plans. This move ensures additional support for the existing defensive lineup, which includes Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi, and Tosin Adarabioyo, signaling that Chelsea have already identified a solution to Fofana’s prolonged absence.
