Antoine Semenyo: The £20m Winger Newcastle and Arsenal Are Eyeing to Bolster Their Attack
Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo has caught the attention of Newcastle United and Arsenal following a strong start to his Premier League campaign. The dynamic winger could provide a solution to Newcastle manager Eddie Howe’s search for consistency on the right flank.

When compared to Murphy using Fbref analytics, Semenyo excels in areas like non-penalty goals, progressive carries, aerial duels won, and successful dribbles. Murphy, however, leads in assists, shot creation, passes attempted, and expected assisted goals (xA). Similarly, when measured against Almirón, Semenyo surpasses him in assists, non-penalty goals, and progressive passing in the final third, showcasing his attacking edge.
Defensively, Newcastle’s right-wingers hold a slight advantage, with higher tackle and interception rates, more pass attempts, and better pass completion percentages. However, Semenyo’s overall contributions, particularly in advancing play and scoring, make him an intriguing prospect for a club aiming to strengthen its attacking options.
