TRANSFER SAGA ENDS! Chelsea Secures £13m Deal for Premier League Superstar
Chelsea Finally End Two-Year Long Transfer Saga with £13m Agreement, As Confirmed by Fabrizio Romano
Chelsea are poised to finalize their second summer transfer, edging out Newcastle United for the signing. Reports suggest Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise has agreed to personal terms with Chelsea.
The 22-year-old showcased his talent by netting 10 goals in 19 Premier League appearances for Palace in the 2023-24 season. His performance attracted interest from top clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, Newcastle have been priced out of the race for the £60 million-rated player. Olise had initially agreed to join Chelsea last summer, but the deal fell through. Now, he has once again verbally committed to terms with Chelsea. GIVEMESPORT indicates that Chelsea are currently negotiating with Palace regarding the payment schedule for Olise’s release clause, which exceeds £60 million.
Olise spent seven years at Chelsea’s academy before moving to Manchester City and Reading, from where he joined Palace in 2021. While Manchester United still have an interest in Olise, they might take some solace in Chelsea’s previous failure to finalize a deal for him.
Newcastle United, despite likely missing out on Olise, are still in pursuit of a right winger this summer. They have expressed interest in West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen, though he might also be out of their financial reach. Additionally, Newcastle are considering 19-year-old Yankuba Minteh, who had an impressive loan spell at Feyenoord, scoring 11 goals. Minteh is valued at £40 million, and Newcastle are now contemplating his future.
