After the match, Fernandez took to Instagram to express his joy, writing, “Thrilled to be back with this away win, this team truly deserves it,” alongside a ‘shushing’ emoji, responding to criticism he had faced earlier in the season. Fernandez’s goal was his first of the season, and it came in his 16th appearance across all competitions.
