FOOTBALL SHOCKER! Marcus Rashford to Barcelona?!

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly eager to secure a move to Barcelona during the January transfer window. However, to make the transfer possible, the English player would need to agree to a 50% reduction in his current salary.

Rashford, who emerged from Manchester United’s youth academy, made his senior debut in February 2016. Renowned for his adaptability and speed in attack, he has become one of the standout talents of his generation. Over the course of 426 appearances for the Red Devils, Rashford has tallied 138 goals and provided 63 assists.

Despite his contributions, Rashford appears to have fallen out of favor at Old Trafford under new manager Ruben Amorim. The forward has expressed interest in seeking a fresh challenge, fueling speculation about his potential departure.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano (via SPORT), Rashford has shown strong interest in joining LaLiga, with Barcelona being his preferred destination. He reportedly believes the move would enhance his footballing career. Manchester United are open to selling the attacker for under €40 million.

However, Rashford’s current net annual salary of over €17 million poses a significant hurdle, as Barcelona cannot accommodate such wages within their budget. Romano’s report suggests the Catalan club would only consider the transfer viable if Rashford agrees to halve his earnings, a scenario deemed unlikely.

Besides Barcelona, Rashford has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and clubs in Saudi Arabia, which could comfortably meet his wage demands. Still, should Rashford prioritize a move to the Camp Nou, he may need to make financial sacrifices to finalize the deal.

**Manchester United Target Barcelona Defender Inigo Martinez: Reports**

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez as a potential signing for next summer, according to Fichajes.net.

With first-choice center-back Ronald Araujo sidelined by injury, Martinez has emerged as a key figure in Barcelona’s defense under manager Hansi Flick. The 33-year-old defender’s contract with the Catalan club runs until June 2025, but the absence of renewal discussions has caught Manchester United’s attention.

The Red Devils view Martinez as a strong candidate to address their defensive vulnerabilities, which have been evident this season. Reports suggest the Premier League side plans to lure the Spanish defender with an attractive offer next summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are keen to extend Martinez’s stay at Camp Nou. However, the club’s ongoing financial difficulties may complicate negotiations, with the next few months expected to be critical in determining the player’s future.
