The transfer world is in shock as Chelsea reportedly prepares an audacious SWAP DEAL that could bring Erling Haaland to Stamford Bridge!

Chelsea is reportedly planning to offer a swap deal involving Mykhailo Mudryk along with cash to acquire a forward earning £262,000-per-week, who is believed to be “a more complete version of Haaland.” This player is seen as a potential game-changer and could work alongside Christopher Nkunku, who has not yet lived up to expectations under Enzo Maresca. With talent comparable to Cole Palmer, the signing could bring a fresh dynamic to Chelsea’s attack.

To strengthen their forward line, Chelsea is reportedly willing to make a substantial offer, including Mudryk, in order to secure a highly-rated striker. Enzo Maresca’s team is exploring all options to bring this player to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s Search for a Striker in 2025

Despite Nicolas Jackson’s solid performances, the club is determined to sign a top forward for the upcoming year. Their list of targets includes several prominent names, with recent reports pointing out their missed chances to land Benjamin Šeško and Victor Osimhen during the previous transfer window.

Chelsea attempted to sign Šeško from RB Leipzig, but the Slovenian forward opted to stay with his current club, honoring a “gentlemen’s agreement” for a potential future move in 2025 or 2026. The club also failed in a last-minute bid to secure Osimhen, who instead chose a loan move to Galatasaray.

2025 Striker Targets

Chelsea journalist Simon Phillips suggests the club is exploring alternatives such as Šeško, Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Liam Delap, and Viktor Gyökeres. Additionally, Italian reports indicate Lautaro Martínez of Inter Milan has emerged as a leading target.

Lautaro Martínez: Chelsea’s Top Target

Martínez, who recently extended his contract with Inter Milan for five more years, is expected to come with a hefty price tag. However, Chelsea is reportedly ready to make a bold move, offering a significant cash sum and potentially up to three players in return.

Mudryk’s Possible Departure

Mykhailo Mudryk, currently suspended due to a provisional ban after testing positive for meldonium, could be included in the deal. Other players such as Benoît Badiashile and Carney Chukwuemeka are also rumored to be part of the package for Martínez.

Martínez’s Form

The 26-year-old Argentine has already netted six goals and provided four assists this season, continuing his impressive form from last year, when he scored 27 goals across all competitions. Chelsea’s eagerness to secure Martínez reflects their ambition to enhance their attacking options and challenge for the title once again.
