BOMBSHELL: Manchester City’s Secret €30M Deal EXPOSED!

Man City Finalizes €30m Transfer of Defender to Borussia Dortmund

Manchester City is set to profit significantly from the sale of Yan Couto, a defender who has only appeared in friendlies for the club.

Manchester City has agreed to a €30m transfer deal with Borussia Dortmund for their 22-year-old full-back, Yan Couto. Couto originally joined City from Curitiba in 2019 for an initial £5.5m. Since then, he has been on loan to Girona, Braga, and then Girona again for two seasons.

Last season, Couto helped Girona qualify for the Champions League and has since become a full Brazil international. Dortmund has secured Couto on a loan deal for the upcoming season, with an obligation to purchase him next summer for approximately €30m (£25m). This sale ensures City a profit of £20m on a player who has only played in friendlies for them.

This summer, City has generated around £60m through the sales of Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Liam Delap, Tommy Doyle, and Sergio Gomez, alongside a sell-on fee for Douglas Luiz.

With Savinho being the only major addition this summer at £33m, City is poised for a profitable transfer window. The sale of Couto will provide a £25m boost to next summer’s budget.

Though Couto had previously expressed a desire to play under Pep Guardiola at City, he has now opted to continue his career elsewhere.
