SHOCKING NEWS! Manchester United STAR SENTENCED to 12 MONTHS in PRISON!

Former Manchester United star Patrice Evra has been handed a 12-month prison sentence with suspended probation for family abandonment. According to Center Goals, the 43-year-old was found guilty of neglecting his family responsibilities and owing nearly £1 million in alimony.

Reports indicate that the former French international deserted his ex-wife Sandra Evra and their two children between May 2021 and September 2023. The court has mandated Evra to compensate his ex-wife with €6,000 for moral damages and legal expenses.

Nathalie Dubois, the lawyer representing Sandra Evra, expressed satisfaction with the court’s decision, highlighting Sandra’s significant support for the former footballer during his career, as reported by The Sun.

“I hope that, thanks to this decision, Patrice Evra will finally understand that he is not above the law and that we cannot abandon our wife and children overnight. Even more so when they met at the age of 15 and she followed him all over the world to support his football career.”

However, Jerome Boursican, Evra’s lawyer revealed that his client disputes the facts and has appealed the ruling:

“Mr. Patrice Evra appealed, knowing that he provided his wife with an apartment, a house with a swimming pool in the south of France and that he lent her almost two million euros for her daily life. A sum that she refuses to return, and this is the reason for this trial.”

According to The Sun, the couple first met during their teenage years at school. They got married in 2007 but parted ways in 2020 when the former football player filed for divorce.

Patrice Evra’s relationship status

Metro reports that Patrice Evra is engaged to Margaux Alexandra, a Danish model. They were first seen together five months after his separation from his ex-wife, Sandra Evra, in 2020.

The ex-Manchester United player and his current fiancée have two children together. In 2021, Evra praised Alexandra, calling her his ‘rock’ and ‘universe’.

“I can’t describe how proud I am of Margaux. You were powerful not because you weren’t scared but because you went on so strongly despite your fear. You’re my rock, my universe.”

Evra was considered one of the premier left-backs during his career. He played for prominent clubs such as Manchester United, Juventus, AS Monaco, Olympique Marseille,

and West Ham United.
