Sir Jim Ratcliffe has already expressed his opinions about Mauricio Pochettino amidst the speculation linking him with Manchester United.

Jim Ratcliffe has previously expressed his opinions on Mauricio Pochettino’s managerial capabilities, especially relevant amid recent Manchester United links. Ratcliffe and Pochettino have a shared history.

Jim Ratcliffe has already made his views on Mauricio Pochettino clear, particularly now as Chelsea announces the 52-year-old’s departure after just one season.

While Pochettino’s tenure at Stamford Bridge was mixed, he managed to lift the team from the lower half of the table to secure a top-six finish.

Following the announcement of his exit, Pochettino addressed Chelsea fans, stating: “Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club’s history. The Club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.”

Pochettino’s departure could significantly impact the football world, with him now being the favorite to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, according to Sky Bet.

Ten Hag is under heavy scrutiny at Old Trafford after leading the club to its worst-ever Premier League finish, placing eighth. United’s only chance for European competition next season rests on winning the FA Cup final against Manchester City to secure a Europa League spot.

Pochettino’s newfound availability is likely to catch the attention of Jim Ratcliffe, who previously attempted to hire the former Spurs and PSG manager. In 2022, ESPN reported that Ratcliffe made significant efforts to persuade Pochettino to manage Nice.

Given Ratcliffe’s willingness to meet Pochettino’s demands, it seems probable that Pochettino would be a top candidate for Ratcliffe if Ten Hag exits Manchester United.

This isn’t the first instance of Pochettino being linked to Old Trafford, as he was a leading contender for the role before Ten Hag’s initial appointment.
