Reece James has officially revealed his plans regarding his future with Chelsea as he prepares for a potential comeback.

Reece James has been out of action for Chelsea since December due to a recurring hamstring injury that required surgery. However, it seems the Chelsea captain is set to make his comeback in the upcoming Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

James has faced a series of setbacks with his injuries, culminating in surgery following an incident during the Everton game. This procedure has kept the 24-year-old off the field for the entirety of this year. Despite this, there’s optimism that he’ll be part of the squad when Chelsea faces off against Forest at the City Ground.

In a social media post on X, James hinted at his return by saying, “See you at 5:30 Blues,” coinciding with Chelsea’s kick-off time. Mauricio Pochettino also hinted at James’ potential availability, stating that he might feature in the squad for the East Midlands clash.

The news of James’ return is not only uplifting for Chelsea supporters but also for England fans, considering Gareth Southgate’s upcoming squad selection for the European Championships in Germany this summer.

However, James’ return poses a dilemma for Pochettino regarding the right-back position. Malo Gusto has performed admirably in James’ absence, making it challenging to decide whether to reintroduce James immediately or stick with Gusto’s form.

Enzo Fernandez expressed his delight at James’ return on social media, while other Chelsea players like Trevoh Chalobah, Raheem Sterling, and Thiago Silva hinted at their involvement in the upcoming game through their Instagram posts.

Overall, James’ potential return marks a significant moment for Chelsea and their supporters, adding depth and competition in key positions as they continue their campaign.
